- Potent sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) receptor (S1P1, S1P3, S1P4, and S1P5) agonist when phosphorylated by sphingosine kinase.
- Sphingosine transporter Abcb1 and leukotriene C4 transporter Abcc1 activity enhancer.
- Cytosolic phospholipase A2 inhibitor, independent of sphingosine 1-phosphate receptors.
- Shown to induce autophagy and apoptosis.
