7-Hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin-3-acetic acid (HMCA) is a blue fluorophore that has pH-dependent and environment-sensitive fluorescence. This coumarin can be used to label peptides, nucleotides and carbohydrates. Can be used as a pH indicator. Spectral Data: λex=360nm; λem=450nm.
