Method: Human T cells (clone 6396p5.1.2) were incubated with anti-CD3, mAb for 20 min. on ice, followed by incubation with secondary goat anti-mouse for 15 min. at 4°C or 37°C. Cells were stained for CD3 (green), phosphotyrosine (red) and CARMA1 (1:200 dilution; blue) and analyzed by confocal microscopy.

Description
CARMA1 is involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T cell receptor (TCR)-mediated T cell activation. Its binding to DPP4 induces T cell proliferation and NF-κB activation in a T cell receptor/CD3-dependent manner. CARMA1 activates NF-κB via Bcl10 and IKK.
