Description
20α-Dihydroprogesterone is a naturally occurring, endogenous progestogen, a key steroid hormone involved in the regulation of the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and other reproductive processes. It is a metabolite of progesterone, formed by the 20α-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases AKR1C1, AKR1C2, and AKR1C3 and the 17β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase HSD17B1.
