Description
5α-Androstan-3β,17β-diol is a metabolite of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It is a weak androgen and neurosteroid that plays a role in the regulation of androgenic activity and may have neuroprotective effects. It is a selective, high-affinity agonist of the ERβ and may have neuroprotective, anti-proliferative and anti-inflammatory activity.
