Description
Thymine-DNA glycosylase (TDG) is an enzyme involved in DNA repair and epigenetic regulation. It plays a crucial role in maintaining genomic integrity by removing mispaired thymine (T) or uracil (U) from DNA, ensuring correct base pairing and preventing mutations. Mutations or dysregulation of TDG are linked to genomic instability, cancer, and developmental disorders.
