Description
4-Aminobenzamidine dihydrochloride can be used as a building block in organic synthesis as well as for investigating enzyme kinetics. It is used as a ligand in affinity chromatography for purification and immobilization of enzymes. This benzamidine derivative is a selective and potent serine protease inhibitors. It functions as a reversible inhibitor of enzymes and ion transporters by binding to their active sites. By doing so, it hinders their interaction with substrates, consequently impeding their activity.
