Description
Antimony fluoride (SbF3) is an inorganic compound widely used as a fluorinating and catalyst reagent in chemical synthesis. Known for its role in the Swarts reaction, it facilitates the replacement of chlorine with fluorine in organic molecules, making it an important tool in the production of fluorocarbons, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals. SbF3 serves also as a catalyst in polymerization and condensation reactions.
