Benthiavalicarb-isopropyl is a systemic agricultural valinamide carbamate fungicide used to control oomycete diseases (water molds), especially in crops like grapes, potatoes, tomatoes, and other vegetables. It inhibits cell wall biosynthesis in oomycetes by targeting cellulose synthesis, which stops fungal growth. Can be used as a reference compound.
