Description
DiOC2(1) is a fluorescent carbocyanine dye used to measure mitochondrial membrane potential or for nucleic acid staining, by binding to DNA and RNA. It can be used for flow cytometry and fluorescent microscopy and for labeling or imaging in live or fixed cells. Spectral Data: Excitation max: ~ 478-520nm, Emission max: ~540-570nm (accord. Lit). Intermediate for the synthesis of fluorescent probes.
