Description

Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and a potent cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor. This dipyridinyl compound demonstrates high in vitro and ex vivo selectivity for COX-2 over COX-1 in several assays. Used to treat patients suffering from osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Might have some chemopreventive properties.
