Description
4-(4-Methoxybenzylamino)-7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (MBD) is a compact fluorescent benzoxadiazole-based probe designed to selectively bind to hydrophobic (non-polar) regions of proteins and nucleoproteins. Upon binding to a hydrophobic region of a protein, MBD displays an emission of ~530nm upon excitation at ~430nm. Spectral Data: λEx=~430nm; λEm=~530nm.
