Metamitron, a chemical synthetic triazinone herbicide, is a photosystem II (PSII) electron transport inhibitor. It is applied as a foliar spray, and is absorbed effectively through the leaf surface and the roots. It is effective against grass and broad-leaved weeds in beet crops. Compound can be used as analytical reference material.
