4-(4-Morpholinyl)-7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole is a morpholino derivative of Nitrobenzodiazole (NBD). NBD fluorescent dyes have been identified as powerful labeling tags because of their small size, neutral character, cell permeability and large Stokes shifts. This compound can be used for labeling and as intermediate for synthesis of substances. The maximal absorbance has been described at ~475nm.
