Description
Syringaldazine is commonly used as a substrate for detecting and studying the oxidation activity of laccases and peroxidases. When oxidized by laccases or peroxidases, the chromogenic agent syringaldazine undergoes a reaction that produces a colored product (from colorless to purple). This is useful for spectrophotometric quantification of enzymatic activity.
