Description
- Non-toxic hydrogen sulfide (H2S) donor in vitro and in vivo. Stable under acidic and basic conditions but in the presence of bicarbonate liberates the gasotransmitter H2S and glycine.
- In cells it enhances cGMP formation and in mouse aortic rings promotes vasorelaxation.
- Cardioprotective agent.
