Florescent probe that is commonly used as a building block to synthesize coumarin-type fluorescent probes. Spectral data: λex 320 nm, λem 380 nm in methanol. It is used as a fluorescent label for peptides. It is widely used for developing FRET peptide substrates for analyzing protease activities and for HPLC derivatization by fluorescence detection.
