More Information
Product Details
Synonyms ICAM1; Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 1
Product Type Protein
Properties
Source/Host CHO cells
Sequence

The extracellular domain of mouse CD54 [ICAM-1] (aa 28-485) is fused to the N-terminus of the Fc region of a mutant mouse IgG2a.

Crossreactivity Mouse
Biological Activity

Shows the biological function of the CD54 moiety and exerts a prolonged circulating half-life caused by the modified Fc domain.

Purity ≥98% (SDS-PAGE)
Endotoxin Content <0.06EU/μg protein (LAL test; Lonza).
Reconstitution Reconstitute at 100μg/ml in sterile PBS.
Formulation Lyophilized from 0.2μm-filtered solution in PBS.
Protein Negative Control

Fc (mouse) IgG2a Control (rec.) (non-lytic)

Other Product Data

Non-lytic: Acts as a long lasting fusion protein which only binds to the receptor. Mutations to the complement (C1q) and FcgR I binding sites of the IgGs Fc fragment render the fusion proteins incapable of antibody directed cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement directed cytotoxicity (CDC).

NCBI reference AAH08626.1: CD54 (mouse)

Description

Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-1 (ICAM-1, CD54) binds the leukocyte integrins LFA-1 and Mac1. CD54 expression is weak on leukocytes, epithelial and resting endothelial cells, as well as some other cell types, but expression can be stimulated by IFN-γ, TNF-α, IL-1β and LPS. Soluble CD54 is found in a biologically active form in serum, probably as a result of proteolytic cleavage from the cell surface, and is elevated in patients with various inflammatory syndromes such as septic shock, LAD, cancer and transplantation.
