anti-RELM-β (human), pAb
This antibody has been tested in immunohistochemistry, analyzed by an anatomic pathologist and validated for use in IHC applications against formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human tissues. The image shows the localization of the antibody as the precipitated red signal, with a hematoxylin purple nuclear counterstain.
1: Human RELM-β.
2: Human Resistin.
3: Human Adiponectin.

RELM-β is a 19kDa disulfide-linked homodimeric protein expressed in the epithelium of the colon and small bowel. RELM-β has been suggested to play a regulatory role during inflammation and may also act to establish links among adipose tissue, the intestine and the liver. Interestingly, the molecular structure of RELM-β is highly homologous to that of the adipose-derived cytokine resistin.
