Description

Cinnamoyl aminoglycoside antibiotic.
Protein synthesis inhibitor in vitro.
Selective inhibitor of bacterial translation elongation, through binding to the 50S subunit.
Inhibits EF-G-dependent mRNA translocation but not translocation of the aminoacyl-tRNA.
Moderate antibacterial compound in both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
